  • Nintendo Wii, Part 5

Telephone poles in Leahi crater (aka Diamond Head)?  When there aren't any phones here?  When everyone now uses cell phones?

Why don't they just remove the poles?  Anyway, as you walk up the Diamond Head trail, if you get high enough, you can look north, and see Wilhemina rise (pictured below):

25 years ago, I went over to a friend's house, up on Wilhemina rise.  It's a nice area.  And, his house had cable TV.  When we saw the video for Billy Ocean's "When The Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going," my friend blurted, "Billy Ocean?!  Shouldn't his name be Billy Goat?"

Okay, so Leahi could use some billy goats to clear the non-native scrub.  But in 1986, when it came to cables, all we really knew was Monster Cable.  So how is the Monster Cable component cable for the Wii?  Well, when it comes to video quality, quite good.  Whether we're playing Wii games, or inserting other discs, video quality is, at least compared to the stock composite cable, cleaner and more accurate.

But if you are using a separate audio system, watch out.  The cable's leads are only about 6".  So if you have the video leads hooked up to your TV/monitor, the audio leads will not reach your preamp/receiver.  Isn't that like Leahi's telephone poles with no transmission lines
