  • Nordost Red Dawn, Part 2

When I originally met Margaret in late 1987 or early 1988, it was after school, while a bunch of us were at the outdoor volleyball courts.  Someone had brought a boombox, which happened to be playing Foreigner's "Say You Will."  Thus, I've always associated "Say You Will" with Margaret.  I don't know that Margaret particularly cared for that song.  But she did, on occasion, listen to other Foreigner material, after we became friends.

My early childhood is a blur.  But 35 years ago, when I initially discovered FM, Bay Area stations played Foreigner.  From their eponymous album, "Feels Like The First Time" and "Cold As Ice" were staples.  That much, to me, is not a blur.

Like any other girl, Margaret had a lot of white underwear.  Here's her matching Victoria's Secret bra and panty set.  If you're going to wear a white shirt, blouse, or other top, it behooves you to wear a white bra.  Any other color bra might show through.  That is why white bras are popular.

Margaret apparently wore this white set plenty of times.  Having worn and washed it several times, it's actually off-white, no longer bright and shiny.

Since Margaret lived south of San Francisco, the weather was constantly cold and foggy.  Maybe not cold as ice, but still.  However, her apartment was never cold.  In fact, it was, without any heat or AC, rather warm.  Thus, she was able to walk around in underwear (or completely nude, for that matter).  The problem with going around in just white underwear (i.e., without any other clothing), said she, was that, coupled with her lack of tan, it'd make her look "ghostly."  I just smiled, "agreed," and removed her white bra and panties.  And, as it turned out, the set above never went back on her; she gave it to me.

Ghostly or not, the Nordost Red Dawn interconnect only needs 2-3 days on the audiodharma Cable Cooker.

Sigh, when we learned that these RCAs were called Moonglo, Margaret complained that her body, rarely exposed to sunlight, was like the moon glowing.  Somewhat sexual, when you plug the Moonglo RCA into a female plug, the metal collar retracts.  Please, no jokes about "feels like the first time."
