Primare A33.2, Part 4
It took a while for Richard Marx's Rush Street to get going. It was released not just in time for the 1991 holidays, but for its Halloween. But it wasn't until late-1991/early-1992, that "Keep Coming Back" became an adult contemporary hit, nudging sales of the album up. But then the album took a few months off. During the spring of 1992, Marx pulled a surprise, by releasing perhaps his most serious song, "Hazard." Okay, okay, so Nebraskans think it paints the state incorrectly. But this is a real musical highlight, something which should be in every audiophile's library. When Margaret visited me on Valentine's Day 1992, I was playing Rush Street. "Hazard" seemed to stop time. Margaret, who was walking around naked in my apartment, sat down, looked at the jewel case, and couldn't believe Marx had written such a dark, serious song.
Margaret's bottom fresh on my mind, let's get to the bottom of the Primare A33.2. Note the layout/positioning of the feet. Besides Margaret's panties, what's missing? Answer below.
Margaret frequently complained that her "rump" was too big. I'm not going to comment on her backside. Instead, check out the A33.2's rear.
The Primare CD31 and PRE30 have their on/off switch located on the underside. But on the A33.2, the on/off switch is on the rear panel, just above the IEC jack. Do note that, unlike some other power amps, this is a regular 15-amp jack. Thus, you can freely play around with after-market powercords. Alas, like Margaret's Victoria's Secret (she was an employee) lingerie, after-market powercords aren't free.
KJ and I took a while to get going. We had broken up on 12/31/91. We had some on-and-off communications in the years after that, and even became close during my senior year of college. We didn't really cement our relationship, until 1997. KJ often looks back, and wonders what would have happened, had we had kids while we were young(er). In the summer of 1992, Marx came out with "Take This Heart." The video is hilarious. It shows the Oakland A's and Chicago Cubs facing off in the World Series. It was filmed at the Oakland Coliseum. But in the video, the Cubs are the home team!
