  • Cardas Golden Reference, Part 2

"Kboy25 has his ironman, but I've got my own mountains to climb."

20 years ago, that Samsung store on Keeaumoku had some corner-positioned Klipsch speakers.  Whereas everything else in the store averaged $400 or so, these Klipsches were $2495 a pair!  I recall that the salesmen did their best to keep kids away from the Klipsches.

But I mention Klipsch, because it was also 20 years ago, when there was a cartoon in Stereo Review magazine.  It depicted a homeless guy living in a cardboard box -- a Klipsch box.

Well, even higher-end than Klipsch, Aiden takes his place on top of a Mark Levinson box, best seat in the house.

We saw a Taylor Dayne video, and yes, it was also exactly 20 years ago, when I first saw Dayne.  Back then, my classmates and I thought she was like Big Bird and Stacey Q thrown into a blender.

Aiden gets down from the Mark Levinson box, and pulls the Cardas Golden Reference interconnects off of the Cable Cooker:

I'll have more to say about the Golden Reference interconnects later.  But having dealt with several samples, I can state that the GR Cooks very quickly.  I've Cooked some for 1, 2, and 3 days.  1 day is all that is needed.  With 2 or more days of Cooking, the GR sounds too warm, too thick, too billowy.  It's kind of like when you do the laundry, the dryer ends, you open the dryer door, and out comes that warm, soft heat.  If you overcook a cable, there's no damage; you'll just have to wait for the effects to subside.

With so many possibilities, Aiden ponders where to use the GRs.  Again, after I wire an entire system with burned-in and fully-conditioned Cardas GR cables, and let them settle, I'll describe how they perform.  Stay tuned!

  • that box is huge!

ryc: kaiser's doing great.  no problems from his surgery.  :)

  • are you getting aiden used to sleeping in cardboard boxes???  hahaha

yeah it was unprofessional...but if a white referee said that and if that would have been a BIG issue...then it should be the same in this case.

I bet your al sharpin and jesses jackson would be on the soap box to get the ref fired, if the ref was white.  If thats the case, they should be doing the same about this ref....but alas they don't.

  • hm.. interesting.. maybe you should keep those boxes as a toy for Aiden.  He seems to like it.  That'll be a toy for you and a toy for Aiden everytime you order something.  You're a great dad. haha.

  • i want tos ee aiden!!!:( all i want for christmas is to play with aiden before he grows up! regarding all your comments, man your getting more funnier by the day!
