  • Cardas Quadlink 5-C, Part 4

"Let's go outside," says Tessa, as she pulls up her pants.

Wow, despite some passing showers, the weather here in the Bay Area is gorgeous.  It reminds me of the similarly gorgeous weather 25 years ago, in the spring of 1986.

Hey look!  My neighbor's cherry plum tree is starting to flower.  In spring '86, my first class of the day was Mr. Jackson's World History.  You know the weather was spectacular, when it was not foggy out at Lowell at 8:45 in the morning.  With weather like that, I stared out the window, and couldn't concentrate on academics.

Fun with macro photography.  These are the flower buds.  They remind me of Jackson Browne's Lives In The Balance being kept small.  You see, in those days, the media, though nowhere near as right-wing as today, were still owned by Republicans.  As this was Browne being more overtly political, radio stations squelched it.

Oooh look, the flowers are blooming!  They remind me of the March '86 day, when I wrapped up after Mr. Jackson's class, slapped on the headphones, and heard Browne's "In The Shape Of A Heart," which depicts some domestic violence.  Its sweet music is at odds with the serious subject matter.  Thus, the song gripped me.  As I walked out of the building, I had to go outdoors, in order to get to my homeroom, out in the temporary shacks.  "In The Shape Of A Heart" totally encapsulated me, and the only thing I remember is the beautiful, sunny weather.  I was one with it and the music.  Nothing else mattered.

Whoa!  Now that the Cardas Quadlink 5-C has been Cooked, it is shockingly transformed.  Like flowers blooming, the Cooked Quadlink 5-C performs with bursts of energy, emotion, and passion.  What the hell happened?  Now the music comes alive.  More textural colors are available.  This is nothing like the warm, treble-less Golden Hexlink 5-C.  Via the Quadlink 5-C, the dCS Puccini now has body and color.  It's like ditching those skinny high school girls, for more full-bodied and developed college coeds.
